Josh Blair

A former Canadian Military Engineer, and current Personal Trainer, Josh has over 8 years of experience in the fitness industry. Joshua has trained a variety of individuals ranging from Military Forces and International Hockey teams, to high school students and older adults.

A graduate of Hillsong International Leadership College (Sydney Australia). His passion for sports has taken him around the world playing inline roller hockey in Africa, and Spain to name a couple.

Josh’s athletic interests include almost every sport, but mainly Hockey and Soccer.

Nate Blair

Nate has been involved in the fitness industry for over ten years working as a personal trainer while managing a large gym. Nate received his formal education from the Canadian Forces School of Military Engineering while serving Canada in the Armed Forces. Since then he’s also studied Youth Ministry in Sydney Australia.

Nate’s love for adventure has afforded him many unique opportunities to travel both home and abroad, which include Head coach of the Namibian Men’s National Inline hockey team while living in Africa for a number of years, and playing Professional Inline hockey in Spain and throughout Europe.

Corinne Rich

 

Corinne Rich is thrilled to be instructing with the BBC Team. As a participant, the intensity and creativity of each session helped push Corinne to her peak physical performance.

Corinne has a degree in Kinesiology and a Bachelor of Education from the University of Ottawa. She played on the women’s varsity volleyball team for four years and was a player/assistant coach in her fifth year. Corinne has been a Physical Education teacher and coach at Chatham-Kent Secondary for the past 8 years.  She strives to be a positive role model for her students and BBC participants and is always challenging herself to, “make time for you” and live life to the fullest.

Michelle Mardling

 

Michelle Mardling is very excited to be a member of the Blair’s Boot Camp team. BBC has helped Michelle to be in the best shape of her life, and has also inspired her to explore her passion for fitness and health. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario, and is CPR certified.

Michelle is also a certified Personal Training Specialist and has successfully completed the TRX Suspension Training Course. She is eager to continue her education in the health and fitness industry in order to keep herself and the BBC clients educated and updated about personal fitness. “I aspire to inspire!”

Kim Wood

Kim has been involved in competitive sport from childhood. As a competitive swimmer, Kim competed at the National level in Canada, including the Olympic Trials. She attended the University of Cincinnati on a swimming scholarship, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts.

After graduating, Kim began her career in coaching, coaching for six years at the NCAA Division I level for the University of Cincinnati. Upon moving back home to Canada, Kim coached the varsity swim team at the University of Western Ontario, and also for the London Aquatic Club. Over the course of her coaching career, Kim has coached numerous NCAA qualifiers, Canadian National finalists, and four Olympians. Kim is a yoga instructor,and an avid runner, competing in multiple marathons, half-marathons and shorter races each year. She credits her continued improvement in her race times in large part to the great classes and support offered by the BBC, and has recently completed the Boston Marathon.

Matt Wood

Matt initially participated in a BBC session at his wife’s urging, but was impressed with the challenge and was hooked after only a few sessions. After getting his butt kicked by the crew, Matt is excited to join Blair’s Boot Camp!

Matt has been involved in sport since childhood. As a competitive swimmer, he was a national finalist and competed in two Olympic Trials. Since graduating University Matt has remained involved in the sport, supporting his wife Kim’s coaching and becoming certified as a Level 1 coach. Recently, Matt has replaced swimming with running, and completed two half-marathons in 2010.

Participating in Blair’s Boot Camp helps maintain fitness year-round, and Matt plans to continue as a participant as well as an instructor.

Kerri Wood

 

Kerri has been an enthusiastic and committed runner for many years, and brings a great deal of experience with her, having completed six half marathons, several 5k road races, and is currently training for her fourth full marathon.

As dedicated boot camp student, she credits her improved marathon times to the diverse challenges that the boot camp classes have to offer. As a busy mother of three, and working full time as a registered nurse, she recognizes the importance of a healthy lifestyle.

She is looking forward to sharing the benefits that a fitness program can have, including weight loss, improved cardiovascular and bone health, and improved mood and concentration.

Jill Pickford

Jill is a dedicated, but busy working mom and loving wife. She has come to appreciate the value of a healthy lifestyle and balanced life. She thrives from her personal motto of “a happy, healthy Mom, is a happy family”. It is necessary to take time for you, and make time for fitness- this balance benefits the loved ones in your world as well as influencing them and others, the importance of healthy choices.

Jill has always been competitive and participated in sports throughout her life, enjoying the challenge and satisfaction of success.  Jill claims she is in the best shape of her life and attributes her recent personal best running times to the support, encouragement and inspiration from Josh, Nate and the BBC team.

Jill is thrilled to join the Blair’s Boot Camp family, with the opportunity to ‘pay-it-forward’ – helping others achieve their personal bests, by supporting, encouraging and inspiring them at BBC.

Melissa Bartlett 

 

Melissa is very excited to be working as a member of the BBC Crew! She got involved with the program as a participant and loved the challenge and variety set forth by the instructors at each and every session. BBC has helped Melissa to be in the best shape of her life, and she looks forward to having BBC be a part of her active lifestyle for many years to come.

Melissa has a Bachelor of Science Degree from Hillsdale College in Michigan. While studying there she played on a volleyball scholarship for one of the top Division II teams in the NCAA, and was named a First Team All-American in her final season. After playing at the university level, Melissa went overseas and competed for a professional volleyball team in Spain.

She currently resides in Chatham, where she has been teaching and coaching at Chatham Kent Secondary School. Melissa’s favorite quote is “There are 3 kinds of people in this world… those who go out and make things happen, those who sit back and watch things happen and those who wonder what the heck just happened.”

Lisa Boulley

 

Lisa Boulley is very excited to be a part of the BBC Team. As an instructor, she promises to assist you in attaining and exceeding your goals and aspirations. As a long time participant, Lisa has experienced firsthand the benefits of a positive environment paired with the intensity and creativity of each session. This has helped push Lisa to her peak physical performance. She is so excited to pursue her passion for fitness and wellness with this unique group and help others achieve their goals and beyond.

Lisa has been a teacher at École Ste-Catherine for the past 7 years. She strives to be a positive role model for her students and BBC participants and is always challenging herself to reach for new heights and breakthrough to be better than she was yesterday.

Bob Vandersluis

Bob Vandersluis is enthusiastic about being part of the BBC team. Bob’s initial experience with Boot Camp was exhilarating, demanding and addicting. Bob believes that the BBC commitment to high intensity, dynamic workouts has encouraged him to participate in instructing others.

Bob graduated from Colgate University, where he earned an NCAA Division I hockey scholarship. His hockey career continued professionally in Holland where he had an opportunity to train with world class speed skaters. Bob is currently a teacher at John McGregor Secondary School and has been involved in coaching basketball and hockey. Bob also spent 3 years as an assistant coach/fitness consultant with the Chatham Jr. Maroons organization.

Bob lives in Chatham with his wife and 2 children. He is excited to share his knowledge of sport, fitness and health through Bootcamp. “You want me to do something…tell me I can’t”. Its never too late to become what you might have been.

Terry Marchand

 

Terry Marchand joined BBC in January 2012 to get away from the gym routine. After two weeks he knew he was hooked and wanted more. Terry was thrilled when approached to be an instructor with BBC.

Terry has over 10years experience in fitness testing for the Chatham Kent Police Service and the Critical Incident Response Team. He continues in the fitness field outside of policing by instructing classes at St. Clair College, specializing in ATS testing for policing.

Terry strives to be a positive role model promoting fitness and wellness with the approach that it’s never too late to start, lead by example and don’t ask anyone to do anything you’re not willing to do.

Amy Robichaud

 

Amy Robichaud is a caring, passionate and energetic individual who is highly motivated in her work with children and youth. She holds a BA in Sociology with a minor in Physical Education and has completed her Bachelor of Education at the University of Windsor.

Amy is excited to introduce the first ever BBC Jr. program that will provide an environment where children can engage in a creative fitness program that will stimulate both physical and mental development. The overall goal of BBC Jr. is to establish a foundation and love for fitness and health in a fun way!

As a competitive athlete her entire life, Amy enjoys using her creative knowledge to promote healthy lifestyles for children through movement and physical activities. Amy’s broad experience with children includes teaching in schools at the Primary/Junior level, working privately for families as a tutor/caregiver and coaching various levels of soccer, gymnastics, dance and kids yoga. Amy continues to challenge herself as she trains toward achieving a personal best time in upcoming half marathons and strengthening a daily yoga practice of her own.
